Thailand launches 3 G internet access at present time whereas Japan practiced it more than 15 years ago. In all countries, governments are trying their best to make the things with cheap price which include electronic goods and internet service.
In Thailand Dtac, Gsm, true mobile sin cards companies try their best to attract the customers by selling the sin card with cheap price, free call service, reduce the rate of international calls, etc, etc. Dtac, gsm, true etc are competitors in Thailand whereas Smart and Globe are competitors in The Philippines, etc. Mobile sin card from True corporation is selling as cheap as Bht. 2 in Thailand.
In Myanmar, there are plenty of mobile phone sin cards which includes Gsm, CDMA 450, CDMA 800, Mc will, etc, etc and plenty of internet access like Adsl, fiber optic, Wi max, etc etc. How about the price, service, connection of internet and mobile phones? Are they competitors in Myanmar? The mobile phones' various sin cards in Myanmar never give any free call, discount rate, etc because it monopolize the whole country's market.
In Thailand or in other countries, making an international call is within the reach of even poor people and the discount rate is given if you make an international call at night or very early morning. Many phone companies offer various promotions. In some promotions, you can get free local calls. How about in Myanmar? Anyone get any discount rate for international call from Burma? Anyone get free local calls within Myanmar? Though it is said to be international standard, the connection line in Myanmar is very very poor. If you make a phone call in Myanmar, you have to speak loudly so that all your neighbors can easily heard all your conversation. So, there is no privacy at all.
In Myanmar, government issues the law to all PAC (Public Internet Access Center or Internet cafe) to stop offering Pfingo, Skype, Gtalk, etc at once because it can hurt to the income of the government telecommunication service. The cost of using Pfingo and Skype, etc for international calls is very much cheaper compared to the government telecommunication service.
Government orders all internet cafe to stop offering CD, DVD rom, USB, etc to the customers or internet users due to national security. We don't know about this issue very well because sometimes people may need to scan the degree certificate, other certificate then keep in the USB drive, CD, etc then send it to their beloved one who is / are in needs of it for emergency purpose in the foreign countries. What is that got to do with the national securities? We really don't know. Government orders all internet cafe to install CCTV camera to monitor all internet users from time to time, screen short for every 5 to 10 minutes to catch what the internet users are doing? How nuisance it is? What is the privacy of the internet users? No country on earth stopped their people using from Pfingo, skype, etc.
Even each automobile can buy only two gallons per day with the booklet. There are many old cars which are indeed dangerous. All imitation goods are available such as perfume, make-ups, shampoo, body lotion, foods, spices and even imitation eggs are available in the market. Goods which are over their expired date are selling even in the department stores and super markets. Drinking water especially big bottles are not advisable to drink. Metered taxis never go by meter. Are these related to democracy?
